Terms of Service

Last updated October 11, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and www.californiaoutdoorreport.com ("we", "us"), the seller and operator of NorCal Sierra Outdoor Report (the "Service"). By using the Service, and by continuing to use it, you agree to these terms.

The Service

The Service gives you outdoor field information for Northern California and the Sierra: river flows, weather alerts, hatch and wildlife ID guides, migration and fish activity maps, forecasts, and member field reports. Some features need a paid subscription.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be of legal age where you live, or have permission from a parent or guardian. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it. Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your information accurate.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service. This includes:

  • using it unlawfully, including to break hunting or fishing laws;
  • fraud, spam, or posting false or harmful reports;
  • infringing anyone's intellectual property;
  • interfering with security: malware, probing, scraping, or bypassing technical limits;
  • reverse engineering, reselling or redistributing the Service.

Your content

You keep ownership of reports you post. You give us a limited license to host, display and process them only to run the Service. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

Ownership

We own the Service and its software, guides, design and branding. A subscription gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your plan.

Field information disclaimer

Flows, weather, migration, forecasts, scores and ID guides come from public data sources and our own estimates. They may be late, incomplete or wrong. Always check official California Department of Fish and Wildlife regulations and conditions on the ground. You are responsible for your own safety and legal compliance.

Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, renewal, taxes, cancellation and refunds are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until canceled. See our Refund Policy and Pricing.

Service level

We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" without implied warranties, including merchantability or fitness for a purpose.

Liability

We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, such as lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

You agree to cover claims against us that come from your content, your unlawful use, or your breach of these terms.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access for a material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. When access ends, your reports may be deleted after a reasonable period.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, and disputes go to the courts there. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them in a merger or sale. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We may update these terms and will post the new date above.
